Granted, the weather in the Boise area has finally gotten warm (okay, hot). But truly, it is a DRY heat. While the rest of the country is melting (currently the temperature in St. Louis is 97F with 49% humidity - making it feel like 109F), Boise is enjoying the summer (and not to rub it in, but today's high will be 89F).
The summers in the area are hot - and you should take relevant precautions - but they are still comfortable enough to enjoy some of our valley's favorite activities. Running, biking, hiking are all very enjoyable during the first half of the day. And when it gets warmer, fishing, rafting, and (finally) floating the Boise river. It's a little later than usual, but the Boise river is now open for floating for the season.
