Why PHMG Loves BSU
We love Boise State University Football. Most people in Boise do (except a few rogue Idaho State Vandals fans). Sure the games - and tailgating - are fun. And it's easy to catch the contagious atmosphere that swirls about the valley when a game is approaching. But we love BSU for another reason - what they do for Boise and the surrounding area in terms of National Spotlight.

Here's another distinction for the Treasure Valley - and specifically for all you animal lovers out there.
PETA recently recognized Boise among the top 10 in their 2010 survey of the most vegetarian and vegan friendly cities in North America. Boise came in 10th among small cities in the United States. For the survey, PETA took into account the number of vegetarian restaurants and vegetarian friendly restaurants per capita and also asked for input from PETA supporters and staff members on the quality of options.
Just goes to show you that Boise offers a well-rounded variety of lifestyle options for every taste. Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or other - you can find satisfying food - and a satisfying lifestyle in the greater Boise area.
Read MoreOutside Magazine Ranks Boise #1
In its August issue, Outside Magazine names Boise the overall winner (and top West city) in its 2010 Best Towns survey. The annual list was compiled using the following criteria: quality of sporting life, cultural vibrancy, the resiliency of the economy, and stability of the housing market.
The highlights: Outside calls Boise a "multisport mecca" and singles out the North End, the park system, the Boise Greenbelt, Bogus Basin, and dozens of high-tech startup companies.
That doesn't include the numerous festivals, hiking and biking trails, Alive After Five, Western Idaho Fair, fishing, and more available throughout the Treasure Valley. It's a great place to live and work - call us for more information.

Forbes Magazine recently published its first ever "Most Innovative Cities" list - and Boise was listed as #16 in the nation. For their ranking, they started with the 100 largest metropolitan statistical areas in the U.S. and used data from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to determine number of patents per capita. Then they combined it with venture capital investment per capita from the National Venture Capital Association, along with those cities' ratios of high-tech, science and "creative" jobs.

In a recent Parenting Magazine poll, Boise was ranked #17 for Best Cities for Families. The over 4,000 acres of parks and the 25-mile Greenbelt riverfront pathway were just two of the reasons that the Idaho Capital ranked among the top 20 cities. Add in the Boise Zoo and a hospital just for kids (St. Luke's Children's Hospital), graduation and crime rates, and you've got a great place for families. Just one more reason to take a look at Primary Health Medical Group as your next place to practice medicine - located in the heart of the Treausre Valley.
