Primary Health Medical Group is pleased to announce it is in network for the new urgent care benefit available to veterans through VA Healthcare.
Effective July 2019, any veteran enrolled in VA Healthcare can choose their nearest Primary Health Urgent Care for high-quality health care with no referral required, and no copay.
Conditions commonly treated in urgent care include broken bones, sprains and strains, lacerations requiring stitches, cold and flu, strep throat, fever, allergies and infections. Primary Health clinics are also equipped with x-ray suites, procedure rooms and in-house labs.
“Many of our own staff and providers are active or former military, and we believe strongly in supporting them inside and outside the workplace. The Mission Act, which was passed in June, aligns with our mission at Primary Health, and that is to make high-quality care accessible the moment it’s needed,” said David Peterman, CEO of Primary Health. “We know overall patient health improves with access to convenient care, and there’s no group more deserving of this convenience than our veterans. We have already started seeing veterans in our clinics who would have been required previously to go through a lengthy, inconvenient process prior to coming in. But now they can visit us anytime, just like everyone else.”
Primary Health Medical Group’s 19 urgent care locations span from East Boise to North Caldwell, and are open as early as 6 AM till as late as 10 PM.
