Frequently Asked Questions by Employers
Why should I have a designated Occupational Health provider like Primary Health Medical Group?
In the event of a workplace injury or illness, you want your management team and employees to know exactly what to do and where to go so that they can get the right care quickly and in the most cost-efficient manner. And when hiring a new employee, you need a quick and easy way to have drug screens, physicals, or immunizations done. A few minutes on the phone today, could save you time and money later down the road.
What does it cost to setup an account?
There is NO COST to set up an account with Primary Health Medical Group for Occupational Health Services. We don’t charge you to create a partnership with us to ensure the well being of your employees. And we’ll even help you with the communication to your employees about what to do in the event of a work place injury.
What do I need to do to set up an account?
Simply give us a call at (208) 947-0904 or send an email to occhealth@phmgidaho.com. One of our dedicated professionals will contact you and discuss your needs with you. We will help you create a comprehensive plan that is as detailed or general as you need. Are you a small business that has never had an Occupational Health program? No problem. We can help you sort through what is available and explain each item in easy to understand terms. Or maybe you have a complex Occupational Health policy that includes very detailed directions for physicals, drug screens and work injury. We can accommodate your needs as well. Once a plan is created, we can provide you with whatever materials you need to communicate with your employees: maps, flyers, handouts, emails, payroll stuffers, or even customized materials.
How does your program work?
Using Primary Health Medical Group is easy. All of our NINE urgent care clinics for initial work injury care and the appointment based clinics for follow-up care are tied into our electronic health records system. Each clinic has the ability to see the information about your company and what services we provide for you. Additionally, each clinic will be able to follow your specific instructions – whom to call, where to fax, etc. No matter which Primary Health Medical Group clinic the employee arrives at, your company’s information is readily available.
For work injuries, the employee can visit the Urgent Care clinic that is most convenient to them for treatment. Our dedicated health care providers will treat the injury as appropriate and the clinic will fax a report of the visit to your designated representative, including any work restrictions if applicable. For more complex injuries, follow-up care may be required. These patients will be referred to Dr. Martinez, Occupational Health Director, who sees patients in Boise and Nampa each week. We also have a thorough referral system in place in case physical therapy or other outside referrals are needed.
Many other services can be done at our Urgent Care clinics as well including drug screens, physicals, and X-rays. The best part about it all – we’re open late, on weekends, and no appointment is needed!
