Primary Health has evolved to be a highly integrated health care delivery system headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Its Idaho Physicians Network extends statewide throughout Idaho. Historically, most services of Primary Health have been delivered in the Treasure Valley area of Southwest Idaho. Aggressive expansion of services into southeast and northern Idaho through expansion of Idaho Physicians Network were initiated in early 2002.

From its small beginnings in late 1996, Primary Health Plan has grown to become a highly creative, responsive group health insurance carrier offering a wide range of benefits and services within HMO, POS and PPO model plans. At the core of Primary Health Plan’s service model is the belief that each employer group desires to create the combination of benefits and coverage that best fits the needs of the employer group and its employees. Consequently, Primary Health Plan has become known as the creative alternative for group health insurance coverage in Idaho.

Idaho Physicians Network is the delivery system for health insurance companies outside the state of Idaho and employer groups who self-insure and the medical providers and facilities with whom they need to contract for those services. Medical providers become members of Idaho Physicians Network to simplify the process of becoming contracted and credentialed with numerous payers. The payers, in turn, utilize the network created by Idaho Physicians Network to avoid the arduous task of contracting with providers and facilities one at a time. Together, Primary Health Plan and Idaho Physicians Network have made Primary Health the fastest growing health care delivery system in the state of Idaho.
